Historic Sites of Manitoba: Scotia Block (105 Scotia Street, Winnipeg)

This two-storey brick block on Scotia Street in Winnipeg, measuring 32 feet by 92 feet, was designed by local architect David A. Abramovitch and construction in 1914 by owner Emanuel Lazarus was done at a cost of about $25,000. Completion work in 1917 was done by the Moxam Construction Company for an additional cost of $15,000. The building contained 15 apartments in its original configuration. It contains 11 apartments today.
