Historic Sites of Manitoba: Norman Apartments (814 Sargent Avenue, Winnipeg)

This two-storey wood frame building on Sargent Avenue in Winnipeg was built originally as retail shops with two apartments on the second floor. In 1930, it was converted by owner Thomas Chippendale, at a cost of about $4,000, into a five-apartment configuration with no shops.
