This 1½-storey wood frame and shingled sided house on St. Cross Street in Winnipeg, measuring 32 feet by 32 feet, was designed by local architect John Nelson Semmens. It was built in 1910 by owner/contractor Robert F. McLean at a cost of about $5,500. He sold it to George McLean, a secretary at A. MacDonald & Company.
