This two-storey brick block at the northwest corner of the intersection between Notre Dame Avenue and Lydia Street in Winnipeg was designed and built in 1904 by S. G. Greer for owner W. J. Greer at a cost of about $10,000. As built, it contained two stores on the ground level with a dwelling on the second floor with the residence (later apartments) being accessible from a side entrance on Lydia. In late November 1904, Greer sold the property to J. McKenzie for $15,000.
In 1929, the Western Construction Company undertook $3,500 in alterations and repairs to convert the residence to a four-room apartment. Around 1932, this apartment adopted the name of Lydia Court from the next door Millbrook Court.
