Historic Sites of Manitoba: Inglis Block (628-632 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg)

This three-storey brick block on Notre Dame Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 61 feet by 106 feet, was designed by local architect Peter Cornelius Samwell and built in 1913 by day labour, for owner Mrs. A. E. Jamieson, at a cost of about $60,000. The building contained two retail stores on the side facing Notre Dame and 14 apartments in the remainder of the space.
