The Gypsumville School District was established in March 1912 and a school operated in Gypsumville, in what later became the Rural Municipality of Grahamdale. In August 1916, a $1,500 debenture was approved by district ratepayers to fund a schoolhouse.
It was desigated a Remote School District in March 1959 and, in the summer of 1979, became Gypsumville School District No. 2461.
