This private golf and recreation club along the Assiniboine River in west Winnipeg was founded in 1946 when a group of Jewish businessmen purchased the Royaumont Golf Course that had been established here in 1922. The Glendale clubhouse, designed by the architectural firm of Green, Blankstein and Russell, opened in 1951.
