This two-storey dark brown brick house, with a green Spanish terracotta tile roof, on Wellington Crescent in Winnipeg, measuring 45 feet by 46 feet, was designed by local architect David Wynyard Bellhouse. It was built in 1928 by the Sutherland Construction Company for owner Henry Gauer at a cost of about $30,000.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
