Historic Sites of Manitoba: Fort Rouge Hotel / Cliff Apartments (426 Corydon Avenue, Winnipeg)

Formerly located on Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg, a three-storey brick building was built in 1897 as the Fort Rouge Hotel. Many of its initial guests were workers for the Canadian Northern Railway from the nearby Fort Rouge Yard.

In 1917, the hotel was converted to a residential block named the Cliff Apartments. The building was demolished in 1958 and no vestiges of it remain today.
