Built in 1950 by the construction firm of Couture & Toupin at a cost of about $200,000, Brock Corydon School opened in February 1951. An official opening occurred on 9 November 1951. Named for its physical location at the intersection of Brock Street and Corydon Avenue, the building designed by local architect William A. Martin initially had seven classrooms and a general purpose room. Additions were made in 1953, 1991, 1995, and 1998.
