Formerly located at the northeast corner of McArthur Avenue and Fourth Street in Lac du Bonnet, a wood frame building, was originally built in 1938 as a residence, store, and service station for proprietor Joseph Billon (1891-1967). In its original configuration, the building contained a store on its main floor and a residence on the second floor. At the rear was a garage for automobile repairs and it had a single gasoline pump that sold Red Indian brand gasoline from the McColl-Frontenac Oil Company.
The building has been demolished and the site is now occupied by another commercial building.
