Historic Sites of Manitoba: Bethel Cemetery (RM of Roland)

This cemetery is situated in the Rural Municipality of Roland at the former site of Bethel Methodist Church. Built in 1884, it became Bethel United Church in 1925 following the unification of the Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist faiths in Canada. The final service was held on 27 August 1961. The building was moved to Winkler where it was used as a church by a Evangelical Mennonite Brethren congregation. Records for the church, for the period from 1901 to 1971, are held at the United Church of Canada Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Conference Archives.
