A 40,000-bushel wooden grain elevator in the former community of Barnsley, on the CPR Carman Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Dufferin, was built by Manitoba Pool Elevators in 1928. It became Pool A in 1958 when the nearby elevator was acquired from United Grain Growers. The two elevators were closed in July 1972 then they were sold to a local farmer.
At the time of a 2020 site visit, the elevators were not in use and appeared to be badly deteriorated. This elevator was demolished in August 2024.
