Well, you are nearly ready
to go. You've aquired the toolbox of our
dreams. All manner of gadgetry fills your canoe - right up to those
cross brace thingies - you know what
I mean. You will be able to measure water depth, test for the
presence of cow urine, and receive 16 cable channels on the microwave
over. You've also disguised your old iPod as an
underwater sonar tracking device - by just taping over the part
that says "iPod" and printing "Sonar Thing-a-ma-jig"
in black marker. This way you won't have to put up with the annoying
sound of birds singing or any of that other wildlife nonsense.
Without further howdy-do
Choices:
Rivers
may only
run one
way, but you can run two ways on them. What to do? Paddling upstream
(where you're likely to find the cause of the problem) might be logical
- but it's sure a lot of work!
On
the
other hand,
downstream is more in keeping with your paddling style and thus your
natural investigative instincts. Perhaps that will allow you to more
closely examine the results of the decrease in flow, and determine a
possible motive for the dastardly deed.
What's
the plan?
