This two-storey orange-red brick and Tyndall Stone trimmed, Vernacular Commercial-style building is at the northwest corner of Main Street South and First Avenue Southwest in Dauphin. Measuring 75 feet by 100 feet, it was built in 1934 by the construction firm of Carter-Halls-Aldinger at a cost of about $45,000, for Western Grocers Limited. It was used as a warehouse and offices for the wholesale fruit and grocery business that served stores in the region.
Subcontractors included: A. E. Prentice (excavation).
At the time of a 2024 site visit, the building was slightly modified from its original appearance. It was being used as a sporting goods store.
