This one-storey bright orange brick building at the northwest corner of Main Street and Atlantic Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 20 feet by 60 feet, was designed and built in 1918 by contractor Arthur John Bonnett at a cost of about $4,800, for owner Charles Walter Trick. In its original configuration, the building contained a single retail space. Its initial tenant was the Trick-Guest Shoe Company Store, operated by proprietor Charles S. Trick.
Later occupied by Benny's Formal Wear, at the time of an early 2025 site visit, the building was relatively unmodified from its original appearance but the exterior bricks had been painted grey by the time of a followup visit in November 2025.
