This Lutheran congregation in the Rural Municipality of Springfield was established in 1926 and the associated cemetery was established in 1932. A bell outside the present church building, originally from Rosewood School No. 37, was donated by the Ostenfeld Young People's Society in 1951. A plaque inside the church commemorates members who served and died during the Second World War.
