A monument in Scurfield Park, along Columbia Drive in Winnipeg, was unveiled at a ceremony on 5 July 2025. It commemorates 176 people, including eight from Winnipeg, who were killed when, on 8 January 2020, a commercial civilian aircraft in which they were flying was shot down by missiles launched by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard of Iran.
