Historic Sites of Manitoba: Mitchell House (122 Oakview Avenue, Winnipeg)

This one-storey dark red brick, wood frame and stucco, Arts and Crafts-style house is on Oakview Avenue in East Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg). Measuring 32 feet by 34 feet, it was built in 1926 by the construction and real estate firm of Lowery Brothers Limited. They sold it to Philip J. Mitchell, a compositor at the Winnipeg Tribune.

At the time of a 2020 site visit, it was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
