A monument in the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West was dedicated in 1967 to commemorate pioneers of the local area, and also to commemorate Minniska Presbyterian Church. It was built at this site in 1899, replacing a log building west of the nearby creek at NE30-21-27W. It became Minniska United Church in 1925. The church closed in 1968 and its congregants went to Silverton United Church or Knox United Church in Russell.
