Historic Sites of Manitoba: Volga School / Meadowlands School No. 1818 (Northern Manitoba)Known originally as the Volga School District when it was organized in April 1916, the district was later renamed Meadowlands. A one-room schoolhouse operated in the southeast corner of SW18-30-16W in an unincorporated area of northern Manitoba. In 1967, the district was dissolved and its catchment area became part of the Winnipegosis School District and later the Duck Mountain School Division. Among the teachers of Volga School were A. Drebnisky (1938) and M. Baryluk (1938).
