Historic Sites of Manitoba: Lady Winnipeg Cruise Ship (Red River, RM of St. Clements)

The Lady Winnipeg cruise ship was designed and constructed between 1971 and 1972 for businessman Daniel Anthony “Commodore” Ritchie. Initially 80 feet long, it was extended by 36 feet in 1974. Last operated in 1993, it was sold in 2002. Its new owner planned to use it as a private yacht. At the time of a 2023 site visit, the ship was abandoned beside the Red River in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements.
