A monument in Kaleida, in the Municipality of Pembina, commemorates Kaleida School No. 433 (which operated from 1886 to 1965, after which students went to Manitou Consolidated School No. 314), Kaleida Baptist Church (1905-1951), Kaleida Methodist Church (1905-1949), and Kaleida United Church (1949-1987).
Among the teachers of Kaleida School was Verna Potoroka (1947-1949).
