This two-storey brick and Tyndall stone building at the southwest corner of Jarvis Avenue and McKenzie Street, adjacent to the Canadian Pacific Railway yards, in Winnipeg, measuring 32 feet by 78 feet, was designed by the CPR in-house architects. It was built in 1927 by the Wyatt Construction Company at a cost of about $26,200, as the car cleaners building for the railway. It originally served as the office for the Car Cleaners Department of the railway with a covered shelter on the south side with two tracks where the passenger cars would be cleaned.
Later serving as the yard office for the railway, the building was demolished in September 2025.
