Historic Sites of Manitoba: Christ Church (25 Second Street SW, Portage la Prairie)

This church in Portage la Prairie was built in 1903 on a design by Winnipeg architect David Wynyard Bellhouse. This is the third church of the Christian Disciples since they arrived here in the 1870s. Its corner entrance stands at 45 degrees to two identical elevations. Constructed from locally-made buff-coloured brick, the building features large Tudor-arched windows framed with stone.
