Historic Sites of Manitoba: Baroni House (504 College Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 2½-storey brick and pre-cast concrete block foundation house on College Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 22 feet by 28 feet, and 10 feet by 12 feet, was designed and built in 1907 by the construction firm of Dudley and Company for restauranteur Michael Baroni at a cost of about $3,500. The building originally featured a mansard roof, a grand wraparound porch with a second-storey balcony, intricate columns, and a distinctive lancet-style window on the top floor.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house had been extensively renovated from its original appearance.
