Historic Sites of Manitoba: Alcalde Apartments (720 Dorchester Avenue, Winnipeg)

This three-storey brick and stone block on Dorchester Avenue in Winnipeg was designed by local architect Cyril William Upton Chivers and built in 1912 by contractor William Wardell Cross. The building contained 11 apartments in its original configuration. Renovations in 1935 turned two larger apartments into four smaller ones.
