All MHS members are invited and encouraged to attend our Annual General Meeting as we review the year past, consider the present state of the Society’s affairs, and plan for the year ahead. We need your participation! Members are welcome to attend only the annual meeting at no cost.
The meeting and luncheon will take place in the Visitor Centre, a modern building outside the walls of the fort and close to the parking lot. The AGM will occur from 10:30 to 12:30, followed by lunch from 12:30 to 2:30.
The winners of the 2009 Margaret McWilliams Awards for excellence in writing about Manitoba history will be presented at 1:15 pm, immediately after lunch.
The speaker following lunch will be MHS member Dr. Gerald Friesen, Distinguished Professor of History at St. John’s College, University of Manitoba.
