Historic Sites of Manitoba: City of Winnipeg Transit System Fort Rouge Transit Base Plaque (421 Osborne Street, Winnipeg)

Located at the Fort Rouge Transit Base of Winnipeg Transit, a plaque affixed beside the main door of the Administration Building commemorates the unveiling of the Fort Rouge Transit Base. This Winnipeg site, which replaced the former Central Transit Base at the corner of Main Street and Assiniboine Avenue, hosts administrative, operational, and maintenance facilities, was officially opened on 20 November 1969 by Councillor Jack Willis, Chairman of the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg.
