A wooden grain elevator at Winkler, on the CPR La Riviere Subdivision, was built around 1928 by the Winkler Milling Company. Sold to the Inter-Ocean Grain Company in 1963, it was re-sold to Pioneer Grain in 1972. Later used by a private grain-marketing company, the elevator has since been demolished and the site is now occupied by a residential development.
