Historic Sites of Manitoba: Vita North Cemetery / Vita Community Cemetery (RM of Stuartburn)

The first burial in this cemetery northwest of Vita, at NE21-2-7E in the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn, occurred in 1905 when a church was built here. It serves both local churches: the Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A monument here is dedicated to Ukrainian pioneers of the Shevchenko-Vita area who built the church.
