Located on Traverse Avenue in Winnipeg, this property was developed in the 1990s as one of many projects funded via the Manitoba/Winnipeg Community Revitalization Program, with financing secured by a local community committee around November 1993. Formally named Traverse Park, it is also known informally as the “Traverse Tot Lot.”
In June 1998, a monument in the park was dedicated to the Royal Canadian Legion (Norwood / St. Boniface Branch No. 43) whose members volunteered their time and material towards establishing the earliest park at this site.
