Historic Sites of Manitoba: Transcona Archway / Downtown Transcona Revitalization Plaque (Regent Avenue West, Winnipeg)

A plaque, unveiled in October 2013 by Winnipeg councillor Russ Wyatt, commemorates the Transcona Business Improvement Zone’s Downtown Street Revitalization Strategy. Implemented and built between 2009 and 2013, the $4.1-million project included construction of this archway over Regent Avenue West, just west of Winona Street, street-side improvements, greenery, lighting, aesthetics, and the Centennial Square at 135 Regent Avenue West.
