Some of these buildings in this aggregation on the south side of Delta Marsh, in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie, date to the 1920s. It is alleged the aggregation occurred when a game warden tired of walking great distances to check bag limits demanded that the hunters move their buildings close together. Today, many of those original buildings remain, some largely intact and other heavily modified. A few newer buildings have been added.
