A wooden grain elevator in Snowflake, on the CPR Snowflake Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Pembina, was constructed in 1928 and formerly operated by Manitoba Pool Elevators. A balloon annex was constructed beside it in 1951. Renovated fully in late 1967, it was closed in December 1980 and the last grain train pulled out of town in January 1981. The elevator continued in use for private grain storage and was still doing so at the time of a 2020 site visit.
