This one-storey, 27 by 80-foot brick building on Isabel Street in Winnipeg was constructed in 1936 by Malcom Construction, at a cost of about $7,000, as a grocery store for Safeway Stores Limited. It was occupied by a grocery store at the time of a 2020 site visit. Its exterior was slightly modified from its original appearance.
