The first burials in this cemetery in the Rural Municipality of Morris took place in 1927, seven years after a church was established here. The sign, however, indicates the cemetery was formally established in 1934.
A new church building, erected in 1949, was destroyed by fire in 1974. It was replaced by the present structure across the road.
