Historic Sites of Manitoba: Ridgeland School No. 2038 (RM of Stuartburn)

The Ridgeland School District was established formally in May 1920 and a schoolhouse was built at the northeast corner of NE-36-2-9E in the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn. In April 1967, the school district was dissolved and its catchment area was transferred to the Boundary School Division No. 16.

Among the teachers of Ridgeland School were C. C. Miller (1921-1922), G. Maxwell Peacock (1922), C. M. Averay Jones (1923), Winnifred D. Boughton (1923), Donella E. G. Nicolson (1924), Miss E. F. McDonald (1924-1925), Sylvia Colman (1926), M. G. Dudley (1927), Annette Fogel (1927-1928), J. M. Mysyk (1928-1929), Minnie Goldovsky (1929-1930), Elizabeth Elkin (1933-1934), Margaret Annie Witty (1936-1938), Constance Mary Sargent (1938-1939), Marie Alexiuk (1940), Margaret Anna Dzaman (1940-1941), Sophie Bernice Wasilka (1941-1942), Helen Peters (1942-1943), Helen Sylvia Welyshyn (1944-1945), Olga Eleanor Bradoway (1945-1946), Genevieve Chorney (1946-1947), Olga Davidiuk (1947-1948), Mary Nastiuk (1949-1950), Nicholas Nels Perchaliuk (1950-1951), Helen Mae Pachnisky (1951-1952), Lena Louise Kohut (1952-1953), Laurence L. Dubenski (1959-1960), Joanne Patricia Simcoe (1960-1962), Roman John Paley (1962-1963), Donald Chubey (1963-1964), and Lena Bachewich (1964-1965).
