Historic Sites of Manitoba: The Promenade (Vaughan Street, Winnipeg)

This thoroughfare is located immediately north of the Portage Place Centre (393 Portage Avenue), running east from Vaughan Street. The plaque was unveiled on 25 August 1988 at its official naming ceremony. Its name was suggested by long-time Winnipeg resident Margaret Swayze from among over 3,600 entries submitted to the North Portage Development Corporation.
