This two-storey brick-veneer residence on Balmoral Street in Winnipeg was designed by architect W. H. Penzington and built in 1904 for implement dealer Loyal James Ostrander (1855-1908). Subsequent owners included lumber dealer W. W. Fraser, lawyer Hubert A. Robson, A. D. Macdonald (1916), manager James E. St. Pierre (1921-1948), and John E. Klaponski (1950 to 1990s).
