The North Memorial School on Sixth Avenue NE in Portage la Prairie was designed by the Winnipeg architectural firm of Smith Carter and Katelnikoff and constructed between 1954 and 1955. It was opened officially on 11 November 1955. An annex was constructed in 1961.
