Historic Sites of Manitoba: Neilson House (74 Balmoral Street, Winnipeg)

This two-storey brick-veneer residence on Balmoral Street in Winnipeg was designed and built in 1905 by machinery agent James L. Neilson, who owned it until 1940. Subsequent owners included the Great-West Life Assurance Company (1940-1950s), taxi driver Henry Reich (1950s), porter Stephen Dayholos (1960s and 1970s), and sales manager Roger F. Wishart (1980s).
