A monument in Miami in the Rural Municipality of Thompson was erected in commemoration of soldiers from the local area killed in the First World War and Second World War, along with a longer list of those who served during the Second World War.
A new stone monument commemorates all those from the municipality who served from the Boer War to the Kosovo peacekeeping mission.
