This three-storey brick and stone block on Furby Street in Winnipeg, measuring 42 feet by 132 feet, was designed by local architect Edmund Walter Crayston and built in 1912 by contractor J. Braden. It had 20 apartments in its original configuration. In 1929, one of two apartments in its basement was converted into two small apartments, resulting in 21 apartments in the building today.
