Historic Sites of Manitoba: Holy Cross School (300 Dubuc Street, Winnipeg)

This two-storey Catholic school building on Dubuc Street in the St. Boniface area of Winnipeg was constructed in 1928 by contractor Firmin Wyndels and congregants of the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. The school, which replaced prior school quarters established in 1925, was operated by the Sister of the Holy Name in its early decades. The structure was expanded in 1947.
