Historic Sites of Manitoba: McCabe Grain Elevator (Hayfield, Municipality of Souris-Glenwood)

A 30,000-bushel wooden grain elevator at Hayfield, on the GNR Dakota Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Souris-Glenwood, was built in 1908 for the McCabe Elevator Company. The railway line was abandoned in 1936 and the elevator was closed the following year. Its concrete foundation remained at a 2020 site visit.
