This plaque in the Johnston Terminal Building at The Forks, erected in 1995 by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, commemorates immigration agent Cyril Genik. Between 1896 and 1914, Genik helped thousands of Ukrainian immigrants settle in the Canadian West and develop the area’s great resource potential.
