This house was built by William Albert Dolmage (1862-1909) in the 1890s as a wedding gift for his wife, Anna Wood. It was likely built with brick from the local Payne brickyard, which moved to Hartney in 1895. When Dolmage, an agent for the Massey-Harris Company, died, his home was renovated as a doctor’s office. As of 2011, it is operated as a Bed & Breakfast. It is a municipally-designated historic site (1998).
