This monument in the Rural Municipality of Grahamdale commemorates a wetland conservation project built at this site in 1981 by Ducks Unlimited Canada in cooperation with the Province of Manitoba, the municipality, and local landowners and lessees. Funds for the project were provided by several sponsors from Wisconsin: Joseph T. Steuer, S. Dexter Hastings, Charles R. Morgan, Terry J. Kohler, Dedric W. Bergstrom, Howard J. Langenfeld, Robert S. Asmuth, Gregory Girdaukas, and Dr. Peter B. Theobald.
