Formerly within North Kildonan, now part of Winnipeg, site preparation of this area as part of a residential development begun around 2015. On 1 July 2017, this park was dedicated and a commemorative plaque unveiled by Councillor Russ Wyatt (Transcona Ward) in recognition of the 150th year of the Confederation of Canada.
